Today, SOL Strategies CTO Max Kaplan hosted Jito Labs CEO Lucas Bruder for a discussion on the evolving infrastructure of Solana’s transaction supply chain and its implications for capital markets. A few highlights and key takeaways are summarized below:
On BAM’s Role
Lucas explained the problem BAM addresses: “We saw that the transaction supply chain was starting to become super fragmented on Solana, with misaligned incentives between users, applications, and validators on the network. BAM was designed as the solution, providing an open source system that’s faster, transparent, and decentralized, which is critical to moving capital markets onto Solana.”
On ACE’s Potential
Regarding application controlled execution, Lucas noted: “ACE helps to improve the user experience and unlock Solana’s growth to sustain capital markets, but it won’t fix everything.”
On Current Market Dynamics
Lucas observed current challenges: “On-chain markets on Solana have started to devolve into yield-chasing games, resulting in worse execution for traders and users. MCL will be great for Solana in the future, but BAM solves a lot of these pain points today.”
On Solana’s Unique Position
Lucas highlighted a key differentiator: “The best place to buy SOL is on Solana, and that’s the only chain where that’s true. You can’t buy ETH on Ethereum because of the fees, it’s cheaper on Coinbase.”
